Free translation of Nida Fazli's poetry

hardly did I change,
am still the same
met so many,
but strangers we remain

surrender myself
to words and color
doesn't we all have
the golden despair

quest is one thing,
so is the reaching
a lot is between
the eye and the dream

.... some lines are free translation of Nida Fazli's poetry... rest by yours truly

Liars Paradox

Everyday ends dawning the meanest truth of our lives
Like a Liar's paradox, either which way it but defies

The observer and the observed, elude the order
I regain the senses and embark the journey of forever

nice poem by kunwar narayan

Freeing the Social Networks

I was going through some of the recent web2.0 mash ups at a site that keeps the log of all web20 ventures ...'everything 2.0'. I realize everyother guy now wants to start a social networking site/app with little or nothing new to offer. It makes me think, why not to decouple the actual social network from the client I am viewing/managing it with. This way I get a good choice to switch and use new and fresh apps without having to spend time to bring it up-to-date and without having to send mass invites.

It should be like portability of an address book.

It's a classical question about service provider and service. If orkut holds all my contacts and I want to switch to facebook; the transition should be one-click.
Only interface and features should change.

There is clear and present need for a client independent social network, the way 'meeboo' lets to chat with Yahoo!, MSN, AOL, and Google talk. Thats being real user centric and valuing the freedom of his choice.

This a right time for freeing social networks from the tyranny of the early entrants and allowing more feature to bloom and co-exist with the old.

Is it same as number portability in telecom industry; the way I can switch from Idea to hutch, keeping my cell number same.

remembering Nida Fazli's old nazm

just came across a beautiful ghazal by Nida Fazli ..was featured in title song of a TV serial 'Neem ka Ped'...beautiful in its simplicity

Lets Face it

I disown my thoughts, see them from a distance
wonder was that me or just a part of my past existence

I humble to the one, adorning thousand metaphors - not one even close
I try to know it, understand it, than believe it or lean to its grace

Many paths go winding into this last womb of possibilities
a speck on the vast scape, thats me with my bare necessities

Lost curve

Dreams too grimly realistic, the dreamer choke
the only road to salvation, thus hits a block

Poetry getting starker than the geometry
theme, form, expression, intent all setting free

A life shaped by the exigencies of living
connecting the dots the curves loose their spring

a story without a hero

Sunlit mornings of unknown gloom, I stare at the ceiling of my room
hope dip and hope float, I make peace with reality with a dreamy distort.

Forget it, Its a new day buddy! got to shine my ware for a the day and the day after...
its the time to get ready for a story without a hero, in this new chapter

Brush-ups with noble thoughts give-up at the thresholds of inaction
profound futility possesses, in these attempts of reconciliations

but I know this will also pass, Yah, It will pass for sure,
a deliberate suppression works as it has so many time before

All one got to do is play at meta-emotion
and rise above the first level of desperation

First Blood...

The world outside seems like an ink-blot test
so much to ponder nothing to manifest

I feel here my breathe with indifference of a kind
third lines gives way to the forth for this jaded mind

World Sux...its good

Like some nerd, I used to collect good quotes that make you smile, make you feel warm inside and resonate with its message. I admire these catchy lines, as they capture profundness of its thought in its pithy concise form. These are the things remind me of different times, something heard somewhere, thought to be very impresive. I used to maintain it on a notepad on my desktop....Let me put it out in open for all you to take a chance to read...I am sure you will like it...

"Average reader of a blog is one,...blogger himself"

"God gave you eyes ,plagiarize! "

"Outside of a dog, a man's best friend is a book; Inside of a dog, it is too dark to read"

"Just remember ...If the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off!"

"I Love walking in the rain, as no one can see me crying"

"I would love to change the world, but they wont give me the source code."

"if you stand stright, donot fear a crooked shadow."

"If you know not that you know not, then you immediately know that you know not,
if not by the time you know that you know not, you know not what you know."

"Reality is an illusion caused by alcohol deficiency"

"Those that danced were thought mad by those who could not hear the music"

"It requires wisdom to understand wisdom : the music is nothing if the audience is deaf."

"Design can be art. Design can be aesthetics. Design so simple. that is why it is so complicated"

"human or for that matter natures evolution is best design at it passes the possible acid tests of its environment of survival and emerges best."

"why drink and drive when you can smoke and FLY !!! "

"knowing many, loving none, bearing sorrow, having fun"

"to work hard or to hardly work, that is the question!"

"I am not dead, I am electro-encephalo-graphically challenged !"
